Michelle is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and a BS in Biology from Humboldt State University.  She has over 10 years of experience working with children and families from her teaching career and continues to enjoy working with them in her practice as a therapist.  Her training includes individual, family, children, and couples.  She has training in Play Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry, Heart Math, and is Level 1 & 2 trained in Gottman Couples Therapy.  

Michelle works with a systems approach that utilizes various therapeutic techniques, including compassionate inquiry, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), art therapy, and narrative therapy.  She also utilizes the client centered approach in her work.  Michelle has worked in school settings as well as private practice and embraces the diversity and culture within each of these communities.  She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and California Association of Marriage and Family therapists (CAMFT).
