Rupa Ward
As a therapist, who is bilingual and has lived in several distinct global, cultural environments, I have experienced first-hand the struggles and aspirations that arise in our human quest for wholeness and well-being. We truly thrive in a loving and caring relationship; which is what I aim to create in the therapy room with you. I have made it my mission to use my personal experiences to help those feeling lost to begin to feel connected and open-hearted.
My practice combines different therapeutic techniques that integrate the mind, body, and spirit. Using Buddhist psychological counseling methods, somatic methods, EMDR, and Mindfulness meditation, I work primarily with families, couples, and adult individuals struggling with addiction, grief and loss, trauma, and eating disorders. I offer Mindfulness Workshops and lead Mindfulness groups and retreats.
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, with a Masters in Psychology from Chapman University. For the past 10 years, I have been practicing as a Certified EMDR therapist, and have completed Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Training.
